On Saturday, October 9, The Art Deco Society of Los Angeles “digs up the dirt” on Hollywood’s history through a walking tour of Hollywood Forever Cemetery.  Visit the gravesites of early Hollywood pioneers, stars and movie moguls.  Guided walking tours will depart from the fountain inside the main gate of Hollywood Forever every 20 minutes, between 10 a.m. until 12 noon.  
 
Visitors will hear the stories of the legendary people who mapped Hollywood, including Col. Griffith J. Griffith, Hollywood founder Harvey Wilcox, as well as stars and movie moguls who put Hollywood on the map.  Rudolph Valentino, Tyrone Power, Marion Davies, Carl “Alfalfa” Switzer, Fay Wray, Cecil B. DeMille and many more.
 
Advance ticket sales are closed.  Tickets will be available at the door.
 
$20 for non-ADSLA members.
FREE for ADSLA Members (Membership must be current).  
 
Members do not need to make reservations.  Simply show up at the cemetery, check in at the check-in table near the fountain and you will be put on the next available tour.  Please note that the number of free tickets members are entitled to is dependent on their level of membership.
 
For groups of six (6) or more, please call us at 310-659-3326 to make special arrangements.
 
Each tour lasts approximately 2 - 2 1/2 hours. Please be aware that this is a tour that requires a great deal of walking and standing on uneven grassy areas. Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended. Chairs are not provided, and out of respect for the families of the dead, we caution our tour-goers to not sit on tombstones. We also suggest you bring sunscreen, a hat, and water, as the weather in October can be unpredictable. 
 
Parking:  Park inside the cemetery gates.  Please obey all signs and security guard instructions.
