Please join the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles for a glorious night of dancing on May 14, 2011 featuring live music from the 1920s and 1930s.  Enjoy dancing at the historic Art Deco Avalon Casino Ballroom on beautiful Catalina Island -- the same ballroom that played host to Benny Goodman, Glen Miller and many of the greats from the Big Band era. Dance the Lindy Hop, Balboa, the Charleston, Tango, Foxtrot, the Waltz and much, much, more!

Please contact them at 1-800-481-3470 or book online at http://www.catalinaexpress.com/.  If you are returning on the special Avalon Ball11:00 p.m. return ferry, please make sure you book your tickets from the Long Beach Downtown Landing.  Parking is $14 max per 24 hours.

24th Annual Silent Film Benefit
Many have asked and we are happy to confirm that the Catalina Island Museum will be holding their annual silent film benefit on the same day as the Ball.
This year's feature film is The Sea Hawk (1924) starring Lloyd Hughes, Milton Sills, Enid Bennett and Wallace Beery. The Sea Hawk was also filmed around Catalina Island.
