Join the ADSLA when we take a step back in time-literally-on our signature walking tour of L.A.'s iconic Miracle Mile! Born in the 1920s, this brainchild of A.W. Ross was conceived as a street to rival the great boulevards of Europe-elegant and spacious, populated by stylish shops-and the chicest people! (And this being Los Angeles, plenty of available parking!) A.W. Ross's dream has developed into one of the country's most famous urban enclaves-featuring a treasure trove of Art Deco architecture.

This sidewalk safari is led by J. Eric Lynxwiler, urban archeologist and celebrated co-author and researcher for the book Wilshire Boulevard: Grand Concourse of Los Angeles. If you've never taken a tour with Eric, you're in for a treat-and if you have, you know that his encyclopedic knowledge of L.A. and its environs is rivaled only by his wit and humor.

The tour begins at the Stiles Clements-designed, black and gold terra cotta bank building at 5209 Wilshire-come join the ADSLA and explore neighborhood block by block to see what the area was, what it is and what it will be!

Comfortable walking shoes, hat, sunscreen and water suggested. 2-hour metered parking available in the area. Please read signs carefully.
ADSLA Members: $10 per person (membership must be current)
Non-members: $15 per person
