Please join the ADSLA for Cocktails in Historic Places® at Damon’s Steak House in Glendale.  A landmark of Glendale, Damon’s is located on historic Brand Blvd, just a block away from the famous Alex Theatre and next to the Glendale Centre Theatre.  Damon’s was founded in 1937 by Loyal Adelbert Damon, originally on Central Avenue, and it is one of the few remaining staples of classic Glendale.  It features a vintage Polynesian theme and décor with rich, dark woods, palms, aquariums, and beautiful murals painted by the late Bettina Byrne.  The place has a great atmosphere and historic feel, yet it’s very carefree and relaxing.
 
The bar is famous for its smooth and strong Mai Tais, Chi Chis, and Lava Flows, as well as many other classic cocktails.  We think it's a great place to cool down during a Los Angeles summer and feel like you’re on a vintage island vacation at the same time.  Meet us at the Bar in the back (there is an entrance at the front and rear of the building).  And just a note, Damon’s happy hour is from 3 to 6 pm, so come by early if you want to take advantage of that!  The bar of course also serves the restaurant food, which features amazing steaks, great seafood, and a host of other fine dishes.  The “twice-baked potato” is amazing! It also has plenty of fun snacks if you’re in the mood. 

Come straight from work or slip into something more Deco or Tiki – either way, plan to join us!  Cocktails in Historic Places® is open to members and non-members alike and reservations are not required. 
 
There is a metered, street-level lot directly behind the restaurant, with a 4 hour limit, and is payable with coin or cards.  There is also inexpensive parking a block away at the MPI city parking structure at California Ave. and Orange (entrance on 220 N. Orange St.), which has 90 min free (no validation required) and 75 cents per half hour after that. 
Free street parking is also available 2 blocks east of the restaurant.  There is also street parking directly on Brand Blvd, but it is limited.
