Come join us at our monthly Cocktail at Historic Places! For the month of August, we’ll be mingling at the Basement Tavern inside the Victorian House in Santa Monica!
The Victorian house was built in 1892 near Pacific and Washington in Santa Monica, and used by the original owner Delia (whose ghost is still floating around in her old quarters upstairs) as a hotel. It was moved to the currently location in 1973, and the house was completely and carefully renovated. The decor of the house is characteristic of the late 19th century - a mixture of fine antique furnishings, classical artwork, and candles.
Come take advantage of their Happy Hour menu, we would recommend the Basement Burger, their specialty pizzas such as the barbecued chicken or prosciutto and arugula, the hummus platter, and the parmesan truffle fries.
Follow the signs to the Basement Tavern, which is to the right and around the corner from the Victorian House. Street metered parking is available along with valet parking on site for $6.
Come straight from work or slip into something more Deco—either way, plan to join us! Cocktails in Historic Places is open to members and non-members alike.
